Principles

I think that user experience is essential if you want him back, so I apply the same principle to my clients: I try to improve their customer experience by delivering professional products and offering a total transparence during the whole development process.

Technology & knowledge at your service

I strongly defend use of open standards and free software frameworks on web development.
Beyond ethical considerations I find they offer significant benefits to all people involved:

• the users can enjoy accessible, usable and device-independent applications
• my clients have full control over their product so they are free to take it away and even replace me whenever they want to
• there is a huge knowledge base and a great development community just in case, where I gladly contribute to pay back

My daily technologies are: (apologies for the acronym soup)

• HTML + CSS to structure and design the user interface
• Javascript + AJAX to improve the user experience as needed
• Ruby on Rails/PHP + MySQL to store and manage the application data

Whenever I can, I apply agile methodologies and prototyping techniques to get visible results quickly. This way I can get feedback as soon as possible to adjust the product at less cost, and my clients can see it evolving and suiting their needs.
